BANGALORE, June 4: Sania Mirza left for London early on Wednesday in a bid to return to competition at the $200,000 DFS Classic in Birmingham, starting June 9.

The 21-year-old, who underwent wrist surgery in Miami in April, has recovered sufficiently and will play the singles and doubles (along with American Bethanie Mattek) in the first grasscourt event of the season.
