Sania Mirza is the Indian player who has been criticized by some people in her native country for wearing revealing tennis outfits that are not that revealing by the standards of the sport. A fatwa was reportedly issued by Muslim clerics.

Besides wearing bold clothes, Sania is a devout Muslim and follows her religion closely.
