Sania Mirza and her partner Chuang Chia-jung of Taiwan rallied to stun eighth seeds Maria Kirilenko and Flavia Pennetta in a gruelling three-setter for a place in the women’s doubles quarterfinal of the $4.5 million Miami Masters in Florida.

A right wrist injury that troubled Sania Mirza during last week’s Pacific Life Open, forced her to withdraw from the ongoing Miami Masters tournament.
Seeded 29th at Miami Masters, Sania get a bye in the first round, while in the second round she was about to take on wildcard Sabine Lisicki of Germany. But injury forced her to pull out from the tournament on Wednesday.
