A professional tennis player from India Leander Adrian Paes was born on 17 June, 1973. He currently plays in ATP tours, Davis Cup as well as in doubles event. He is recognized as one of the most successful professional tennis players particularly in India. Paes has led the Davis Cup team of India.

Sania Mirza has invited many big personalities like Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan, Sohail Khan, Mahesh Bhupathi, Leander Paes and other to her wedding reception but Shahid Kapoor has been kept out of her guestlist. It has surprised many because she had claimed that they were good friends when the media reported that they were seeing each other.

The first round defeat at the Binghamton Challenger proved too costly for Somdev Devvarman as the Indian dropped 23 rungs in the latest ATP ranking list to be placed 163rd even as Sania Mirza hung on to her 74th position in the WTA chart.
