Sania Mirza is quietly confident that her ‘new wrist’ will stand up to the rigours of top flight tennis when she plays at Wimbledon, starting on Monday.
The 21-year-old missed the French Open after undergoing a reconstructive surgery on her right — the playing — hand in April and returned to action only a fortnight ago, when she played in the Birmingham grass court event.

Tennis player, Sania Mirza was born on 15 November, 1986 in Mumbai, India. Her height is approximately five feet seven inches. She is the daughter of Imran (builder) and Naseema (job in printing business). She has one sister, Anam. Her hobbies are listening to music, swimming and watching TV.
She likes to watch the movie- Oceans 11 and her favourite player is Steffi Graf. She likes actors- Hugh Grant and Brad Pitt very much.
At the age of 6, Sania Mirza began playing tennis. Her aim is want to be in the top on the world in tennis game. In tennis game, C.G.K. Bhupathi was her coach. In 2003 she decided to become a professional tennis player. She has become the first Indian woman to reach in the fourth round of Grand Slam tournament in 2005. At the end of August 2005, she had 42 nd position in the WTA. She wants to enter the top 100 of the world tennis player. In July 2005, she got fifth position among Asian Women.
