Indian tennis player Sania Mirza and Pakistani Cricketer Shoaib Malik recently got married to each other though majority of the public were supportive, there were also people who were quite against of an Indian Muslim woman marrying Pakistani Muslim guy.

At the moment they are at the peak of their careers, sometime later they would plan to settle down and have kids. Now the problem comes which country would they be residing in?

There has already been lots of controversy regarding their marriage in case Sania Mirza plans to reside in Pakistan and give up her Indian citizenship – there might be a lot of issues drawn up in India. Same applies for Shoaib Malik who might have attacks (verbal/political) from Pakistani public in case he decides to give up his Pakistani Citizenship and decide to reside in India.

I think most of the public will have a perception of “who honours his own country”, but for the couple its all about living together. Perhaps they will choose to move to some other country?
