But insiders insist that Sania was a big factor in deciding to hold her marriage three days earlier than planned. This way the tennis player wanted to scotch the rumors and come clean on her relations with Shoaib Malik.

Mullas were baying for her blood claiming that she was indulging in najayas or haram activities by spending time with Shoaib Malik. Pre marital mingling of the couple is unlawful in Islam.

With conducting the marriage three days in advance she was able to silence her critics and torpedo any other controversy that might have arisen.
