India’s tennis sensation Sania Mirza has pulled out of this year’s French Open due to an injury.

Sania’s father Imran Mirza, speaking to TIMES NOW said that she has not fully recovered from her injury.

Sania underwent a surgery on April 10th in Florida to repair a capsule tear on her right wrist. The Indian tennis star will be back in action on June 9th when she plays the Birmingham open.

Disappointed at missing the Grand Slam event, Sania hopes for a speedy recovery.

“I am naturally disappointed at missing the French Open, but there are certain things beyond ones control. I hope to be back on circuit soon,” she said.
