New Delhi: Indian tennis player Sania Mirza, forced to withdraw from the French Open starting next week as she is yet to recover from a surgery on her right wrist, hopes to get back to professional tennis in time for Wimbledon in the second half of June.

It is really bad news for the fans of Sania Mirza. The Indian tennis star is currently ranked 32 in WTA ranking. She withdrew herself from French Open 2008 because the Hyderabad-based Sania is yet to recover from her wrist injury. So, Sania Mirza is going to miss French Open after attending 13 major consecutive tournaments on tour.

HYDERABAD: Asia number one and World No.33 Sania Mirza will miss the French Open this year that will get underway at Roland Garros in Paris from May 25.

World No 32 Sania Mirza has pulled out of the French Open as she is still in considerable pain, following a wrist surgery last month. Sania had undergone surgery to repair a capsule tear on her right wrist in Miami on April 10.

India’s tennis sensation Sania Mirza has pulled out of this year’s French Open due to an injury.

Sania’s father Imran Mirza, speaking to TIMES NOW said that she has not fully recovered from her injury.
