Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza fell at the final hurdle of the qualifying rounds of the women’s edition of the Rogers Cup on Sunday.

Mahesh Bhupathi, meanwhile, replaced Leander Paes at No. 7, a gain of one position, in the ATP doubles rankings.

Keeping the Indian flag flying high is top seed Sania Mirza, who was made to work hard by American qualifier Mallory Cecil before prevailing 6-4, 7-5.
